Real homes for aging and disabled veterans — starting right here in Terre Haute.
This foundation is named for our son, Noaah.
He was born with half a heart — tricuspid atresia. He passed on July 22, 2015. Not a day has gone by since that we haven't thought about the life he was supposed to have.
This is how we carry him forward: by making sure other people have the safe, dignified home every person deserves.
We are both Army veterans. Somewhere along the way, we got to thinking about the veterans back home — the older ones, the disabled ones — who don't have a safe, dignified place to live. People who served this country and came home to nothing.
Our first goal is a five-bedroom house near Terre Haute — a real home for five veterans. A home, not a facility.
Residents will come through referrals from the VA and community partners. The long-term vision is simple: prove the model here, then bring it to more communities.
We're at the very beginning. The foundation is registered in Indiana, and the federal tax-exemption application is next. We'll share the whole journey — wins and setbacks both — as we work toward opening our first home.
